Shalaparni im Ayurveda
In der Charaka Samhita (Sutra Sthana 4.9, 13, 16, 18) gilt Shalaparni (Sthira) im Rahmen der Aufzählung der 50 Mahakashayas als Balya, Snehopaga und Shothahara und Vayahsthapana.
