Babaji: (Sanskrit: bābāji m.), geehrter Vater. Zusammengesetzt aus Baba und ji. Baba heißt Vater bzw. Großvater. -ji ist ein Namenszusatz, der in Hindi und vielen indischen Sprachen gebraucht wird und Ehrerbietung, aber auch menschliche Nähe ausdrücken kann. Babaji Von Baba (Sanskrit) Vater bzw. Großvater und wird auch als würdevoller Namenszusatz gebraucht, vor allem bei indischen Asketen, Derwischen und Sufi-Heiligen. Wird auch als liebevolle Anrede für den Guru gebraucht.
