Shveta Dvipa

Shveta Dvipa (Sanskrit श्वेत-द्वीप śveta-dvīpa m.) bedeutet "die weiße Insel bzw. Kontinent".

Shveta Dvipa ist in der Hindu Mythologie die weiße bzw. silberne Insel. Es wird angenommen, dass Shveta Dvipa die Residenz von Vishnu ist. Vishnu brachte die ganze weiße Insel, auch Insel des Mondes genannt, nach Gujarāt, um sie Krishna als Wohnstätte zu schenken.
