Babaji: (Sanskrit: bābāji m.), geehrter Vater. Von Baba (Sanskrit) Vater bzw. Großvater und wird auch als würdevoller Namenszusatz gebraucht, vor allem bei indischen Asketen, Derwischen und Sufi-Heiligen. Wird auch als liebevolle Anrede für den Guru gebraucht.
