Sie wurde von Raivata errichtet und war die Hauptstadt seines Königreiches, Anarta. Als Raivata der Gegend von Brahma besuchte, wurde Kushasthali von Punyajanas, also von Yakshas oder Rakshasas, zerstört. (2) Eine Stadt, die von Kusha, dem Sohn von Rama, erbaut wurde und auf der Stirn des Vidhyas liegt.
